This morning I want to share something really cool that is happening in Texas.

A privately owned bank, ANB, based out of Amarillo is taking the health and fitness of their employees to an entirely new level.

To say they care is an understatement. Not only do they care but they are willing to put their money where their mouth is.

This company has committed to investing into the lives of the people that work at the bank. They have established relationships with gyms all over the state and are willing to cover 100% of the cost for the small group training programs for their employees.

Why small group training and not general gym membership?

Because in the group training program there is a coach, a workout that is designed for each person and a community of people to support them. Sure this is more expensive but increases the participation tremendously.

A Golds Gym membership simply doesn’t cut it. Nothing against Golds or that gym model but people don’t need a $50 per month membership stiffen. That is a waste of money for the majority of people.

People need to show up to a gym and feel like they are a part of a family. They need a coach who cares. And they need a workout plan that is designed for them and meets them where they are.

We have been selected in the Bryan/College Station area to serve these four ANB branches. There are approximately 40 employees and all of them have access to our gym at no charge to them.

They have branches all over the state that are doing this as well. Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth and Lubbock just to name a few. The headquarters is in Amarillo where they have 500 employees and a gym on site at the bank. The bank not only encourages that their employees workout but they cover 100% of the cost.

How does this make sense?

ANB believes that if their employees are exercising it will improve their health, well being and overall mood. This will translate into less sick days, more productivity and a better culture.

We are already seeing this take place in the Bryan/College Station area as we launched the program this month in early December.

Interested in doing the same for your business? Regardless of size you can do the same thing for your employees. For many people the hurdle in starting their health and fitness journey is the cost. You can support them with that.

Just send me an email and we can start a conversation about it. If you want to improve your culture and make a positive impact in your workplace consider this investment. 2022 is right around the corner and now is the time to take action.
