Phillip is 39 years old. He is happily married with four kids, and they recently moved back to Aggieland.
Phillip and I go way back to the good ol’ days at Texas A&M. He and I are members of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of ’04. WHOOP! (I know all of my Aggie friends will appreciate that)
In this interview Phillip shares how his fitness journey changed from college to parenthood. His story shows how the weight easily can creep up. He weighed about 175-180 in college and then a decade later found himself approaching 220 pounds.
He went through periods where he was highly motivated to stay in shape, and then had periods where he needed to focus on other aspects of his life.
He gives a great explanation of how he viewed physical health as a luxury and spiritual health as a priority, but has come to learn how the two go hand-in-hand. Now, he understands how important it is to take care of our God-given bodies.
