The highs and lows of your fitness journey can be overwhelming. Sometimes you simply need to ask for help.
When you navigate things alone you are left to your own thoughts and your own strength. People who love you and support you can speak life into you when you need it. It also lets them know where you are and what you are doing. This gives them insight into how they can best support you.
Asking for help can be hard. Especially if you are someone who is not accustomed to it. But the moment you open up you will see the benefit immediately. The people in your life will pick you up when you are down. But if you don’t ask for help how will they know to do this?
Who do I talk to about my fitness journey?
Start with the three people in your life who you are closest to you. Your inner circle. Let them know what you are doing and why you are doing it. Be honest. Share your goals and your fears with them. Then ask them if they have any questions for you. Answer their questions then listen.
If you have more than three people that is ok too. The main thing is that you not try to do this alone. You need support. You will need to get picked up when you are down. You will also get to celebrate with these people who walked with you on this journey when you accomplish your goals.
Your assignment today is to find your tribe. Ask for help. Open up.
