YEAR 11

The perennial lynchpin of the BCS Classic has always been a CrossFit competition, and this year we will hold true to that tradition. This will be our 11th year to host this noteworthy competition and we intend to stay true to our colors and provide all athletes with the ULTIMATE competition experience.

BCS CLASSIC GIVES BACK

Last year, in partnership with Rich Froning, the BCS Classic raised over $27,000 for the Ronald McDonald Charities. In 2020, we are looking forward to continuing to partner with Rich and raise more money for charity.

COVID-19 Protocols

In light of the current pandemic, we will be implementing new protocols for how we run the event to keep people as safe as possible. Here are the changes we will be introducing:

  • Disinfect all equipment before, during, and after the event with anti-microbial chemicals that kill all viruses, especially the COVID-19 virus.
  • Bringing on staff to clean equipment after every single heat.
  • Working to provide a clean and germ free chalk solution for all competitors. We are taking away the chalk buckets so athletes are not sharing chalk.
  • If needed, we will configure the lanes for social distancing.

We are hard at work to ensure this is a safe environment for all athletes, judges, volunteers and sponsors.

ROAD TO RICH

In 2012 at 300lbs, Jonathan Devlin watched Rich Froning do the Crossfit workout “Diane” and was inspired to make a life changing decision that day. Fast forward 7 years, and Jonathan got the opportunity of a lifetime to be Rich Froning’s partner at the 2019 BCS Classic on September 7th. CrossFit Mayhem shared the story on their YouTube channel.

The perennial lynchpin of the BCS Classic has always been a CrossFit competition, and this year we will hold true to that tradition. This will be our 11th year to host this noteworthy competition and we intend to stay true to our colors and provide all athletes with the ULTIMATE competition experience. From the first time competitor, to the athlete who is a CrossFit veteran but just lacks some of the advanced skills and strength, all the way up to the seasoned pro that can handle anything skill or movement thrown at them, the BCS Classic is THE competition for you! We have consistently been and continue to be the BIGGEST and best run competition in the entire Brazos Valley. But if that doesn’t compel you to register, then hopefully our swag bags, prizes and giveaways will entice you to join. We want you to walk away nothing short of amazed at the quality of the competition and leave you hungry for more!
