One of the best parts of this race was having my wife and kids with me throughout the race. They were at various spots on the course. Seeing them encouraged me. This picture was taken around mile 5 of the run course.

On your fitness journey you need a support team. You need people who will cheer you on. Do not try to do this alone. This could be your family, friends, a coach or anyone you have chosen to support you on this journey.

You will face days that you don’t believe in yourself. You will have workouts that you don’t feel like doing. You will want to quit and throw in the towel. Your support team will keep you going. They will remind you simply by their presence that you can do this. Sometimes with their words as well.

I have been a personal trainer for 20 years. The most important job I have is to believe in my clients. I never give up on them. They can doubt themselves but I won’t. I know they are capable of so much more than they think.

A great coach supports you through the ups and downs. They know how to talk to you in the hardest times. They use their influence in your life to keep you going. But you have to invite them into your journey. My clients hire me not the other way around.

Do you need a coach?

Maybe this message is reminding you that you need help. If you plan to make this year the year that you focus on health then I strongly advise you to hire a coach to guide you. We can start with a call and go from there. Remember that you are able to accomplish so much more than you think you can. Nothing is impossible you just need to surround yourself with people who believe in you and will support you in this journey.
