We all have the same 24 hours each day. How you prioritize that time can be the missing key to the puzzle you are trying to solve in your fitness journey.

Do you not have time to workout? Struggle to cook or prepare meals for the week? Seem to not have enough time to get it all in? If so read on.

One of the biggest obstacles you will face is time. Even before iPhones people had this issue. There will always be something pulling you in a direction to give it attention.

Some of these things are important and necessary. However lots of these things are not. It is your job to know the difference.

One way is to simply pencil in your schedule in advance and make a calendar for the week that prioritizes things that are important to you.

For example, write in your calendar the time you want to wake up, eat breakfast, leave to go to work and so on. Then continue to write in the time you will have a snack, eat lunch, leave work, go workout, eat dinner and go to bed.

It won’t always go as planned but even if it does 50% of the time that is a huge success. And it will likely go as planned much more often.

If you do not do this then you become a victim to your day. Your day will pull you in 18 directions of which you do not want to go in. The worst is when you waste a huge chunk of your day doing something meaningless when you could have been doing something productive.

If you are still feeling like you don’t have time I have a test for you. On your phone go to “settings” then check “screen time”. This will tell you your daily average of the amount of time you spend on your phone and also compare it week to week.

Being on your phone is not bad. Just like watching TV is not bad. But remember that you do have time. You are simply choosing to do other things with that time.

I realized early in my personal training career that one of the biggest values I provide my clients is forcing them to put fitness into their calendar. This will guarantee that they do it.

If you need to add structure to your schedule and need help call me. I can help you set up your calendar. I will show you how to organize meal planning and exercise into your day.

Once you get this piece figured out all you have to do is abide by the schedule you created for yourself. I know you can do it and I believe in you.
